Restoring a vintage Vespa

Riding season is coming to a close and for many die-hard scooterists, it is wrenching season. Well, wrenching, scraping, sandblasting, painting, rewiring and the season for hunting down 45 year old NOS, aftermarket, reproduction and used replacement parts.

How to winterize yourself or your scooter

The leaves are turning yellow, brown and orange and fingers are turning blue. If you are looking for gear to keep riding through the winter, you may wish to visit European Motorcycles of Pittsburgh or your nearest Harley dealership for some hard-core warm weather gear. Harley Davidson makes a pair of winter gloves that are considered the warmest in the business (BMW's are a close second).

BMW dealers generally carry Gerbings electric gloves, vest, pants, socks, etc. Harley has its own br… Continue

Here's why Italian scooters will always outsell German scooters

Holy Zundapp, Bella, will you look at this? BMW proves that it can make a fugly scooter with bleeding edge safety features and advanced technology that nobody can afford, which hardly matters, because you can't buy one anyway. Its a concept scooter built on the frame of the failed

SWEET! 2005 GT 200 for sale

Hey Yinzers, I just traded my P200 for a scooter just like this. I've seen the scoot at European Motorcycles of Pittsburgh and I thought it was a new one! $2,995 asking price is very fair. It won't last. Ask for Lee and tell him Mitch the Scooter Dude sent you.

Yeah I know. I just can't cancel out at this point, and I hope I can ride the next one provided the weather is good and I am off that day... a rare combination!

Enjoy yourselves and ride safe.

Hey Mitch, We be doing good here in Morgantown. I realy love my
Tomos moped. I just ran it in a Grand Prix here on Sunday. Pitcures will be posted on Thursday. It's more of a ratped than a moped, but I love her just the same. Alot of people came by and said that they had one when they were a kid. I wish that they still had theirs too, cause i could use the spare parts. Thanks for having me around for a while. It looks like a cool site.

Mitch, thx for the welcome. Bought our scoot from Mosites and had followed your blog. Would love to come to some events and go on some rides. Need to get a 2nd scoot for hubby though. And our 4th child is only 7 weeks old, so that makes it even harder. Maybe we need scooters with sidecars.

Hey I stopped by West Side last Saturday around 3pm but guess you only work till 2pm. Only saw one Red LX50 by the front window.
If ya wanna sell those scoots on Saturday you need to push them out into the front lineup and let all the traffic passing by see they have scoots for sale.......
